Description

This nautical center is composed of two bases, which are located on the canal linking Caen to the sea, close to Caen city centre.

The sailing area is protected from the winds and offers ideal conditions for the practice of nautical disciplines.

Special features

The bases are close to Caen city centre, its train station and its hotels and restaurants.

A cycle path is located along the canal, allowing you to follow rowers over all distances.

Known for

The nautical base hosted the French Women's Match Racing Championships in 2019.

The rowing base was awarded the "national river head" organisation in March 2020, 6000 metre and 4000 metre time trials. The competition welcomed Olympic medal winners from the Rio Olympic Games (Pierre Houin, Thibault Colard and Thomas Baroukh).
