Description

Located in the heart of White Perigord, in Coulouniex Chamiers town, the departmental dojo « Michel DASSEUX » is an architectural success with combines esthetic and high quality pratice. Particulary well lignted thanks to its glass spaces, it has a surface area of 2000 m2. It has been created according to French Federation standards of judo and responds to accessibilities criteria for « People with a Reduced Mobility ». It’s composed of 4 fighting aereas, a training space, a weights-room, blocks with changing-rooms and toilets for the sportsmen and the referees.

The total capacity for the dojo is 750 people.

Literally « Dojo » signifes « house of the way » in japanese, it includes principally the martial activities as judo, jujitsu, karate, aïkido.

Inaugurated on 4th november in 2005, the departmental dojo has been used since for the departement elite advanced trainings, the organisation of competitions and mass sporting events.

Special features

The dojo has a vast tatamis allowing a practical space adapted for trainings groups with a total security (480 m²) and another tatamis in an adjoining of 144 m².

Besides the floating parquet floor and tatamis qualities, the conception of the room offers an extensive space for training contributing to athletes’ well-being.

The circulation senses in the building are relly made easy between changing-rooms, medical room and weighing-room.

Moreover, the dojo has an equipped meeting room for the coaching and technical staffs.

No problem for parking thanks to the availability of the two parking structures.
