Description

The Espace Eau Vive is a whitewater park equipped with an artificial whitewater canoe kayak river, a campsite and a group cottage. This class 2-3 river is open from February to November. Its average flow is 12m3/s. All year round, the pool is equipped with 140 slalom gates. The 600m long river with a 6m drop is fed by a diversion of water from the Rhône.

Special features

Its flow of 12m3 on average, is gravity. The level is constant throughout the year except during periods of flooding. Its bed was designed in natural rock which gives it a natural appearance. Located near Lyon airport and TGV station and 1 hour from Geneva, the facility is easily accessible and only 2 hours from Paris by train.

Known for

Home of French competitions in kayak salom. (Regional, N2, French Championship). Reception of international teams (Czech, Swiss, Irish, Dutch, German, Italian, Canada) and national (U18, French team) internships.
