Description
It was inaugurated in December 2006 with the French gymnastics team.
This magnificent facility is home to three leading gymnastics disciplines: rhythmic gymnastics, women's artistic gymnastics and men's artistic gymnastics.
New practices grouped under the term Trampoline Sport Acrobatic (TSA) such as trampoline, tumbling and acrosport are also offered.
This 1,700 m² gymnasium has a sports area that can accommodate up to 90 athletes, a 200-seat spectator area and changing rooms. It has a warm-up track, bars, beams, rings and pommel horse; in total, 23 apparatus for initiation, training and competition.

The gymnasium of Louis Achille centre is a sports complex with various ancillary facilities close to a commercial area, shopping centres and two private medical clinics.
It is located in the capital city of Fort-de-France, 10 minutes from the Caribbean coast and sunny beaches.
From Fort-de-France, there is a wide range of tours and excursions offered by local taxi drivers.
Currently in the process of completing renovation work, this facility will be a tool for the promotion of this activity in the area.

Mélanie de Jesus Dos Santos is a French artistic gymnast of Martinican origin who, thanks to her exemplary performance in the French team, has created a real craze among young Martinican girls for this sport.
In 2006, the gymnasium Louis Achille welcomed the French team for a training course of preparation during its opening.
