Enjoying the best training area with the Erdre River, the Cercle de l’aviron de Nantes (CAN), one of France's top rowing clubs, and top-level athletes from the Pôles France et Espoir elite and junior rowing programmes train there daily. The complementarity of the University and CAN's water sports centres offers optimal material and technical conditions for high performance. Since the 2000s, two Olympic champions, Yves Hocdé and Sébastien Vieilledent, and several international medal winners have frequented this renowned training area.
