Noormeulen Sports hall
Description
Built in 1991, the Noormeulen Sports Hall has a platform 27m wide by 44m long and 18m high. All these criteria mark out the Noormeulen Sports Hall as the cradle of badminton in Grande-Synthe. Home to the local club which plays in National 1, the city can boast having trained and discovered several champions: Baptiste Carême and Thomas Blondeau, for example. The Urban Community of Dunkirk has also shown its support for the discipline as it hosted the General Assembly of the French Badminton Federation in 2012 in its city.
