Description

The arms room has some character with its 12 fencing tracks and its luminosity. It brings modernity and history together. The resident club, the Cercle d’Escrime Melun Val de Seine, has 73 years of history. The club is renowned for the practice of foil which, throughout its existence, has been able to combine the discovery and the development of an activity at the service of the residents of Melun, and fencing at its highest level (20 Olympic gold medalists). The CEMVS usually hosts foreign delegations. Almost all the best Olympic or World champions foil fencers have performed their art in this place in individual competitions (Masters), in gala team meetings or in international sports internships. It is this tradition of opening and hospitality that the volunteers and the fencing masters of the CEMVS want to perpetrate in 2024 for the Paris Games, with a guarantee for their hosts to benefit from great skills and high-quality support.
