Description

The Ocenanian Weightlifting Institute is located in the centre of the town of Le Mont-Dore and 15 minutes from the capital (Noumea).

The Victorin BOEWA Sports Complex, where it is located, allows you to train in the best conditions for preparation.

The IOH is equipped with a large weightlifting room, athletic strength room and a maximum accommodation capacity of 48 people.

Special features

Installed in the sports complex, it benefits from the proximity of facilities such as a sports hall, a 25m swimming pool, a stadium (tartan and synthetic turf), a sports hall (2 dojos, boxing hall, ...).

It also offers a 12-room accommodation site attached to the Institute.

Excellent reception conditions for optimal physical preparation.

Known for

From 2008 to 2020, the Ocean Weightlifting Institute has hosted more than 40 athletes from all over the Pacific zone, trained by Paul COFFA (now coach of the Australian team). Eloquent results: several athletes have won medals in different competitions (Olympic Games in London, Rio, the Commonwealth Games, and the Oceania Games held in Le Mont-Dore.
