Description
Located in the Municipality of Castelnau-le-Lez, 2nd city of the metropolis of Montpellier, The Sports Palace Jacques Chaban-Delmas is a large-scale sports infrastructure that extends over an area of 10,500 m², near the sports course , a true green lung of the city.
Inaugurated on June 20, 1991, this large-scale sports facility hosted the Mediterranean Games in 1993 and nowadays welcomes many sportsmen and women, notably the resident professional club Montpellier Castelnau Volley University Club.
The Sports Palace is a warm and friendly sports facility, consisting of a large honor room, called Romain BARRAS, with a capacity of 2,665 seats that can accommodate international volleyball or basketball competitions.
The equipment also has a modern, completely new multi-sports hall, inaugurated in 2020, with a games area of 1,144 m², a collective sports hall of 800 m², 3 dojos, 2 dance floors, 1 gym. table tennis, 1 yoga room, 1 physical preparation room, 1 brasserie and in 2022 a completely renovated 1000 m² gym.
The Sports Palace is located a 5-minute walk from the “Lycée Georges Pompidou” tram stop, a 15-minute drive from the Montpellier Méditerranée Airport, a 15-minute drive from the Sud de France Montpellier train station and has 'a very large parking lot.

The Sports Palace accommodates sports equipment, a brasserie, a physical preparation room, a sports course in the same unit of place;
A police station, shops and a supermarket are in the immediate vicinity.
The town of Castelnau-le-Lez has 2 renowned tourist hotels, the Domaine de Verchant (5 stars) and the Clos de l'Aub Rouge (3 stars).
At the medical level, the Castelnau-le-Lez Park Clinic provides 24-hour patient reception, an emergency service and has a full medical imaging platform (scanner, radio, ultrasound, MRI).
The Sports Palace is made up of a team of 20 agents who provide reception, upkeep and maintenance of the infrastructure. This team will receive its guests with great kindness, professionalism and discretion.
