The Jean Vilar Sports Park is a green setting surrounded by mountains, the complex is located to the east of the town near the motorway bypassing Grenoble conurbation, and close to Echirolles station (700 m). It is 5 ’by car from two hotel complexes, the city center of Echirolles and a shopping area. It is also 5 ’walk from Grenoble convention center.

Known for

The Jean Vilar sports park hosted many popular sporting events (races, football tournament, pétanque, games) mobilizing the entire population of Echirolles. Central location for the organization of the first World Peace Games in 1985, bringing together nearly 10,000 participants. They trained and trained in the boxing hall: René Jacquot and Laurent Boudouani (Professional World Champions), Angel Mona and Akim Tafer (professional European champions).
