Description
The city of Saran is part of the metropolis of Orléans (city center located 5 km) with a direct exit at the A10 toll (exit Orléans Nord - 4 minutes) and a ring road east west of Orleans 500 meters from the municipal park sports. The Colette Besson athletics stadium and the nearby Jacques Mazzuca sports hall are located in this fenced and guarded sports park of 25 hectares in the heart of the city. The town is equipped with cycle paths. The city of Saran was awarded in 2010 the most sporting city of the department in the category of more than 10,000 inhabitants.

Aubrais train station is 4 km away and a private clinic (Oréliance) 2 km from the sports park. The hotel's St-Denis airport is 20 minutes from the park. Hotel, restaurants and shops 5/10 minutes on foot. A sports hall, a nautical center, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a Dojo and weight room, football fields, a fitness trail are located in the well-planted park. The Orleans forest is 2.5 km away and the banks of the Loire are 7 km away.
Known for
The city of Saran has already hosted the French UNSS championships at its athletics stadium, and has been hosting the French Championships for the Leagues in walking for more than 10 years. In 2019, the French disabled sports championships took place in Saran and in 2022 the French interclub youth championships are planned. For more than 5 years, the sports hall has been hosting D1 handball matches (the Septors and the Panthers in the neighboring town) and European panthers matches. Every year for 8 years the inter-committee metropolitan finals and DOM TOM girls and boys under 14 have been held there.
