Description

This training center is located in a green environment next to the ocean and includes several different training venues. Next to the cities of Nantes and Paris, it is very easy to reach by train or plane. It includes a high standard swimming pool with 5 pools, a fully equiped gym, a brand new synthetic running track, football fields as well as areas dedicated to well-being and relaxing. Three indoor training venues which meet international standards are also part of this training center. All the venues can be privatized and offer a 24/7 access for the teams.

The training center is surrounded by a 10ha park facing the ocean with ten beaches offering many biking, running and swimming options. It provides the delegations with optimum conditions to train and prepare themselves during the 2020-2024 Olympiad: high standards training venues as well as a relaxing and peeaceful environment.

Special features

This high standards venues host on a daily basis fifty local sporting clubs (5 of them competing at a national level). The diversity and number of venues set on a unique location is a real opportunity for the athletes, providing them with a wide range of training options both outdoor and indoor. Next to the venues can be found a large selection of accomodation and catering solutions. The municipality of Saint-Nazaire is at the delegations’ disposal to convert areas of the center into meeting rooms, catering place etc. according to their requests.

Known for

Saint-Nazaire often receives national and international teams and contests. The swedish football team has trained here in 2016 for UEFA European Football Championship. French national volleyball team comes on a regular basis to prepare for French and European Championships (2016, 2017, 2019). Professionnal warm-up games are often organized: football (french Premier League FC Nantes, Athletic Bilbao…), handball (HBC Nantes, Cesson-Rennes 2015), volley-ball : (Paris, Tours…), basketball (Nantes 2020). The para swimming national championship in 2019 and the company sport’s world cup (Volley-ball and swimming in 2017) also took place there.

The municipality of Saint-Nazaire and the tourist office are available and fully qualified to provide the international delegations with accomodation and catering services that meet their requests.
