Description

Indeed Douai can take pride in displaying a 61-metre-high belfry which hosts one of the biggest European chimes with its 62 bells. Douai is a city that is also proud of its traditions of giants : the Gayant family. Nearby can also be found a lot of mining towns with their typical brick architecture and also the largest mining museum in France. In Douai, you'll be able to experience a festive atmosphere and traditional Northern dishes thanks to excellent restaurants where creativity meets tradition. The Stade Demenÿ is located close to the city center, to the transports facilities but also from hotels and restaurants.. Several sports have their activities there, including the Sporting Club (Football), the Rugby Club, the Tennis, the Golf, the Athletics and so the Hockey.
This 8-hectare space is fully dedicated to Sports, inside a full Environment dedicated area.
The two pitches of the Douai Hockey Club can be privatized on demand, due to their locations at the borders of this complex, and trainings can take place behind closed doors.
The Club-house can welcome some meetings and the equipments (kitchen, rooms) help to ensure all kind of events.

The new synthetic pitch, ready for Oympics 2024, is a great award and tool, to highlight the dynamism and the family spirit of this club, created in 1928, so close from his centenary.
Douai Hockey Club has educated and trained some complete generations of hocley players, in a family and pleasant atemosphere.
The club welcomes yearly some competitions in various divisions, for Men and Women, but also some final tournaments, from U10 to Seniors divisions.
An international tournament, to qualify two teams for the World League, took place in 2016, with the participation of Women teams from Austria, Switzerland, Wales, Russia and France.
